Have you found your approach to meditation has had to change since becoming a mother? Maybe you’re pregnant and feel like you need a way to connect with your body and your baby? Perhaps you are a stressed out mum who believes that she can’t meditate because her mind is just too busy?
I can help you with all of these things.
it’s time for you
As a mother, I have needed to reinvent the way that I meditate and use mindfulness in my day to day life.
When you join one of my meditation classes, I will share with you traditional meditation practices, but I also create a safe space for discussion around the various challenges of motherhood and pregnancy. I also incorporate tools that you can take away and use in your everyday life, including ways of using meditation and mindfulness with your baby and children.
It’s a realistic approach, not an idealistic one…and I hope you’ll love it!
We spend so much time, as mothers, taking care of everybody else. And we LOVE doing that, but sometimes we forget to (or don’t) make time for ourselves.
Meditation is a great way to create space and time for yourself, while also giving you tools and strategies for reducing stress and anxiety, settling a busy or overwhelmed mind, and finding a sense of peace and balance.
Mama Meditation – Sunday 13th October 4pm
Relaxation and Meditation for Pregnancy Sunday 13th October 3pm
Meditation for Pregnancy classes are designed for women in all stages of pregnancy. Suitable for those with or without prior meditation experience, classes aim to provide you with practical skills to calm the mind, and relax the body. By providing you with techniques that you can incorporate into your day-to-day life, you may find that you are more able to focus on the excitement and joy of what awaits!
Classes involve both meditation/mindfulness practices, and movement to keep both your mind and body feeling relaxed in the lead up to birth. I also make space for discussion around the various challenges of pregnancy in an accessible and safe way.
“The experiences that will begin to fire and wire your baby’s brain start in your womb, with the physical sensations that provide the earliest learnings. These include being physically supported by the womb and amniotic fluid, being kept warm by your body warmth, being gently rocked as you walk, being exposed to different tastes from your diet via the amniotic fluid, hearing your voice and voices of other family members, and feeling calm and settled when you are calm and settled”

Mama Meditation classes are designed for all mothers, no matter where they are on their mothering journey. Suitable for those with or without prior meditation experience, classes aim to provide you with practical skills to calm the mind, and relax the body.
Each week I will introduce tools and strategies for reducing stress and anxiety, invite useful discussion around various themes of motherhood, help you to find ways of settling a busy or overwhelmed mind, and to find a sense of peace and balance.
“We can feel overwhelmed by our schedules, our responsibilities, and our roles at times, even when everything we are doing is important, even when we have chosen to do them all. We live immersed in a world of constant doing. Rarely are we in touch with who is doing the doing—or, put otherwise, with the world of being. To get back in touch with being is not that difficult. We only need to remind ourselves to be mindful. Moments of mindfulness are moments of peace and stillness, even in the midst of activity”
~ Jon Kabat-Zinn
I just had a really great birthing experience after taking Elyse’s pregnancy meditation classes. It was my third child and the difference between the births was amazing! I can honestly say that I loved my labor this time, while my other two were very traumatic. I could not recommend Elyse more!!
